He Wrote This Song While Drowning And It Sounds Like Every Dark Thought You've Ever Had

RICHIE CROSS CONFRONTS THE VOID ON BRUTAL NEW SINGLE "LOST SOUL." Some songs don't ask for your attention. They take it. Richie Cross, the Las Vegas punk/alt-rock force drops his visceral new single "Lost Soul" today and it hits like a fist through drywall.

Built on crushing guitars, explosive dynamic shifts, and Cross's deep, commanding baritone, "Lost Soul" is a raw transmission from the edge, the moment when a person stares into the noise inside their own head and asks whether they have the will to fight back. It's not a clean story. It's not a resolution. It's the chaos before the breakthrough, rendered in distortion and desperation.

The lyrics don't flinch. "I'm caught between what's right and wrong / Trying to find a place where I belong / But the noise in my head won't fade." Cross writes from inside the experience, not looking back at it safely from the other side, and that honesty is what makes this track land differently. The spoken-word bridge hits like a gut punch: raw, uptempo, and uncomfortably real.

"'Lost Soul' is about that feeling of being disconnected from everything, like you're moving, but not really going anywhere," says Cross. "It's about recognizing that state and deciding whether you stay there or fight your way out of it."

Fans of Rise Against, A Day To Remember, Bring Me The Horizon, and Papa Roach will find a lot to hold onto here, the relentless energy, the emotional weight, the kind of chorus that was built to be screamed back from a crowd.

"Lost Soul" is the latest single leading into Cross's debut full-length album Bridging The Gap, arriving August 7, 2026. Where earlier releases in this campaign leaned into defiance and self-definition, this one goes somewhere more vulnerable, the still, suffocating moment before clarity. It expands the emotional range of the project and signals that Richie Cross is not here to play it safe.

Stream "Lost Soul" now on all major platforms. The album is coming. And if this single is any indication, it's going to hit hard.

Biography

Richie Cross is a U.S.-based punk and alternative rock artist whose music blends raw intensity, melodic edge, and introspective storytelling. Influenced by classic and modern punk, alt-rock, and post-hardcore, his sound pairs driving guitars and urgent rhythms with themes of awareness, resistance, and personal truth.

After stepping away from music earlier in life, Richie returned with renewed focus, channeling years of reflection into songs that confront disconnection, control, and the struggle to remain human in an increasingly numbing world. His writing goes beyond surface-level rebellion, exploring the emotional and psychological cost of conformity, identity erosion, and the quiet fight to stay conscious and present.

Between 2024 and 2026, he re-established himself through a steady release cycle, earning international support from radio stations, playlists, blogs, and music journalists across the U.S., Europe, and Latin America. His single “60 Miles An Hour” gained particular attention for its sense of movement and freedom. He is now signed to SODEH Records.

Richie is currently working on his upcoming full-length album Bridging The Gap, set for release on August 7, 2026. The project expands his punk and alt-rock foundation with heavier textures and deeper emotional range, exploring the space between survival and surrender, illusion and clarity, and autopilot living versus conscious choice.
