Italy’s Darkest Export Just Dropped 30 DENARI’s New Album Feels Like a Controlled Collapse

30 DENARI return with “Kindly Plotting For Riot,” a striking full-length release that dives headfirst into the tension between control and chaos. Emerging from Italy’s underground, the project builds a dense, razor-edged sonic world where post-punk grit collides with industrial weight and new wave atmosphere.

Drawing clear lineage from Joy Division, Bauhaus, and Killing Joke, while echoing the mechanical pulse of Nine Inch Nails and the shadowy textures of Chelsea Wolfe, the album refuses to sit comfortably in any one space. It stretches across post-punk, alternative rock, and industrial soundscapes with a deliberate sense of unease.

“Kindly Plotting For Riot” plays out like a manifesto carved in darkness. Its themes revolve around a society weighed down by conformity, where identity is diluted, human connection is transactional, and the pressure to prove and possess overrides any sense of balance. The lyrics confront this erosion head-on, dissecting the fracture between individuals, nature, and inner consciousness.

There’s a constant push and pull throughout the record, between electronic tension and physical impact. Cold, pulsating rhythms anchor the album, while sharp guitar work slices through with urgency. Each track feels intentional, building toward a larger narrative that questions not just personal identity, but the systems shaping it.

Moments like “Traitor” and “Survive Alone” hit with emotional precision, while collaborations introduce new dimensions, most notably the haunting interplay on “The Horizon” and the unsettling energy carried through the record’s guest features. The vocal approach shifts between controlled intensity and evocative contrast, adding to the album’s hypnotic pull.

From “Modern Era Working Class” to “Mestre Bahnhof Central,” the album unfolds as a ritualistic experience, mechanical yet deeply human. It doesn’t offer easy resolution. Instead, it invites listeners to sit within the discomfort, to confront the noise, and to recognize the patterns shaping modern existence.

Recorded, mixed, and mastered at Artesonika Studio by Ivan Moni Bidin, “Kindly Plotting For Riot” stands as a bold statement from 30 DENARI, uncompromising, immersive, and built for those drawn to the darker edges of sound.

Biography

Formed in 2021 in Marghera, near Venice, Italy, 30 DENARI unite musicians forged in the worlds of metal-industrial, punk, anarcho-punk, and post-punk. With roots in bands such as Ensoph, Awake The Sun, Ishvara, Ashent, Order of Minerva, Raptus, CVM, Aliensurfers, Cani Sciolti, and Permanent, the collective channels decades of underground experience into a sound that is both confrontational and immersive.

Since their inception, the band have released multiple works and performed extensively across Italy and Europe, steadily building a reputation for intense live shows and a fiercely independent spirit. Their music fuses New Wave atmosphere, post-punk urgency, and electro-industrial weight, mechanical yet emotional, abrasive yet hypnotic, pushing beyond genre boundaries while remaining grounded in dark sonic tradition.

Lyrically, 30 DENARI confront the psychological pressure of a hyper-connected, material-driven society. Their songs dissect conformity, digital alienation, and the erosion of authentic human connection, advocating instead for awareness, simplicity, and a renewed harmony with nature.
