The Italian supergroup Blackstars has officially debuted, presenting a new Heavy/Hard Rock project poised to bring back the golden sounds of the 80s and 90s.
The "Blackstars" EP is scheduled for release on November 23, 2025, through Underground Symphony Records.
The band took shape in Milan in June 2022, driven by guitarist Max Adams, known for his thirty-year tenure in Love Machine, a band he definitively departed from in 2020. By July 2022, Adams had formed the core of the group by enlisting highly experienced musicians from the rock and metal scene:
Tony Pecere (Vocals) – formerly of Crimson Dawn, ex Betoken
Max Adams (Guitar) - ex- Love Machine
Alberto "Wolfie" Presotto (Guitar & Keyboards) – formerly of Opera Noire, ex Sakem
Walter Soresina (Bass) – formerly of Crossbones, ex Fuckin’ Jam
Folkert Beukers (Drums) – formerly of Adam Bomb, ex Chris Holmes (ex W.A.S.P.)
This stellar combination of musicians immediately began writing original Heavy/Hard Rock material, deeply influenced by the genre's golden era.
The result of this collaboration is captured in the debut EP, simply titled "Blackstars", released by the Underground Symphony label. The EP was recorded with the collaboration of drummer Sergio Masperi, who helped define the band's powerful and nostalgic sound.
The "Blackstars" EP is available now and represents the perfect synergy between the unstoppable energy of Heavy Metal and the incisive melodies of Hard Rock.
