Greek (based in Athens) alternative rock / metallers Noiz Ritual present their new video for “Robocop” single, a song included in the first EP “Embrace The Noiz” that released independently on May 2024.
““Robocop” video clip is a humorous parody of the legendary 90s movies with the iconic metal law enforcer. A sketchy route on the GPS brings the main character face to face with something he should not have seen, and only chaos can follow. The video dwells subtly on themes of police brutality, corruption, false incrimination, and the fact that chrome and recreational substances do not mix well together. It’s a twisted parallel reality, where the embodiment of good is not so good as you thought. Or maybe not? One thing is for certain, never go where your GPS tells you blindly“.
Shot at a decaying basketball court in Pagkrati, Athens, the video was directed and edited by Nick Christolis, guitarist of the band, and filmed by George Mylonas with lighting assistant Dimitris Zografos.
Visual effects and image processing were done by Gabriel Varella from Venezuela, capturing the spirit, atmosphere and visual magic of the original movies, adding touches of retro video game aesthetic.
Screenplay was co-written by Nick Christolis and Gabriel Varela.
Starring in the video are the Noiz Ritual band members and Vasileios Kostaras on the role of Robocop.
The single is also available for streaming to the major digital platforms (Bandcamp, Spotify).

Νoiz Ritual is a 4+1 piece band that was formed in 2022 by John Varvas (4lt) on vocals, Nick Christolis (Four Sides of Strange, Afterblood, ex-Ghost Season, ex-Potergeist) on guitars, Mantalena Krikelli (Vegan Mosquitoes, Heavenblack, ex-Lost Arcadia) on drums and Ilias Xirogiannis (Imperfection) on bass.
The band was brought together by the shared longing for the 90s grunge music scene and the alternative rock and nu-metal of the 2000s. Despite Ilias having to move to another country for business reasons, and Yul Sada (Afterblood, Sticky Dog) taking up bass in his place, Ilias still remains in the band as a hidden ace up the sleeve, making guest appearances with his baritone distorted sound produced by his bass and pedals acting as a 2nd guitar.
On September 2023 the band released a cover of the monumental 2000s song "My Own Summer" by the Deftones.
On March 2024 they released the video for the song "Abuse Me", the first single from their debut 4 track EP "Embrace The Noiz", which is available since 14th of May 2024. accompanied by the video for the single "Feeling Death Inside". In September 2024 the band revealed the video for the single "I Wanna Know" and recently the video for "Robocop" single.
