What can you say about this new album? "The Book of Life" is like a rollercoaster ride through some of the most well-known stories from the Bible. It brings these ancient tales to life, making them relatable and digestible for today's listeners while expressing the word of God in a powerful way.
What is the meaning of the album name? The name "The Book of Life" is pretty straightforward. This album is all about our life, our history, and our faith in the Lord. It encapsulates love, brutality, and everything in between. Just like His word, music is a universal language, and they go hand in hand in this album.
How was the recording process? The recording process was quite a journey. This album has been in the works for almost a decade. We faced many challenges, including finding the right people who shared our vision and faith. But then, out of nowhere, we were blessed with incredible talents like Chris Zapa, NY Charlie, KC Bonet, William "Speedy" Gonzalez, and J Slate. Once the team was complete, everything just fell into place, and the process gained unstoppable momentum.
If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick? That's a tough one because we love so many of them. If we had to choose, it would be "Paradise Lost - (Genesis)." This song perfectly captures who Exodus Rising is. It's the first track on the album and sets the tone with its blend of brutality, symphonic magnificence, and classic power metal spirit.
